Thanima
Thanima is the official Malayalam Literary Association of VIT Chennai, dedicated to celebrating Kerala's language, art, and cultural heritage. With one of the largest regional student communities on campus, Thanima creates experiences that bring together students from diverse backgrounds through creativity, tradition, and entertainment.
Sargam is the flagship celebration of Onam at our institution, bringing together students, faculty, alumni, and guests in a vibrant tribute to Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. Rooted in the values of unity, gratitude, and togetherness that define Onam, Sargam offers an immersive experience through traditional art forms, captivating music and dance performances, pookalam competitions, cultural showcases, and festive activities.
Blending tradition with youthful energy, the event transforms the campus into a dynamic celebration of culture and community. More than a festival, Sargam is a platform that fosters connection, celebrates diversity, and creates lasting memories while preserving the essence of Kerala’s most cherished harvest festival. Sargam is more than a celebration—it is a convergence of culture, community, and collaboration.
